THREE RECOMMENDATIONS TO ADD TO YOUR RESUME

11/04/2022

When writing a resume without experience, it is important to fight against some elements that are in ourselves: the devaluation of our experiences and the self-boycott.

  1. Any kind of internship in any job is part of the work experience in that job. Yes: an initial experience, without too much responsibility and usually no longer than 1 year. But in which we have performed a multitude of functions that may be demanded in the offer to which we are applying, and which are what the recruiter is really looking for.
  2. Nowadays, we find the possibility of volunteering in more and more areas and sectors. On many occasions, volunteers, if they show proactivity and interest, end up performing tasks and functions similar to those that can be performed by an employee. Therefore, including these periods as part of your experience is a no-brainer.
  3. If at any time you have initiated any kind of project in the sector in which you are looking for a job, it will always be a positive point to add it to your CV. For example, having done some freelance work, TFG or TFM are practical activities that can include both functions necessary for the position and demonstrate competencies that will help you get a job.
